They don’t represent absolute search volume numbers, because the data is normalized and presented on a scale from 0-100. Each point on the graph is divided by the highest point, or 100. When we don’t have enough data, 0 is shown. The numbers next to the search terms above the graph are summaries, or totals.”

These charts were created using Google’s Insight. All though not perfect, my intention was to give an indication as to the number of times people are shopping or inquiring about the product or company. By doing so, we get to avoid technical support related questions and focus on an indication of the market place.

Right now the comparison is focused on Teradata Vs Netezza Vs Vertica Vs Greenplum Vs Paraccel. I expect to add more dashboard pages over time. If you have any questions regarding the comapritive search terms, just let me know.

This page is undergoing major adjustments and is a work in progress. There is quite a bit of normalization that needs to happen in order to make the charts “fair”. Please do not put any confidence in the charts at this time when comparing popularity of one brand over another. I will be incorporated some of the feedback I have been receiving and perhaps later this evening will have a version that is somewhat normalized or at least “SPELLS” out the challenging areas.
